Artist is my other job of many years. I'm a colorful globetrotter calling North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama home, so I get lots of inspiration from mountains to seashore. My personal favorite works are my abstract pieces which usually reflect the natural rhythms of my surroundings. I much prefer oils executed with a palette knife in large works over smaller acrylic series simply because I find it easier to manipulate the oils. Commissions are welcomed.
Art is my passion, my bliss, and I've always followed it throughout my education and career. My only formal training came during classes I managed to slip in between international business studies. I ended up teaching a few of them, but I still learned a great deal. The greatest lesson was from drafting 50 sketches per session of nude models in a figure study class: Plan, work quickly, step away when it's finished.
I hope you enjoy my paintings and the photography, as well. When I look through the camera lens, I'm looking as a painter and it's apparent.
